Any type of effective link building campaign requires a major ingredient: It’s called, variation in anchor text and source sites.

If you are getting the back links in order to increase website traffic and get better rankings in major search engines, then you need a variety of different anchor text links from a variety of different source types.

The goal is to get back links that are natural and organic. The kind that visitors and search engines love the most. The kind that occur naturally on their own.

A common mistake that occurs when webmasters and bloggers try to promote their website, they tend to stick to one type of link building strategy alone. Some are essentially just marketing with articles, others prefer social bookmarking, commenting on some blogs related to their niche, etc.

This is not what I would call effective link building.

Ideally, you want to have a variety of links from a variety of different types of websites all pointing back to you.

An effective link building campaign is one that appears more natural. Google counts links to your site as ‘votes’ for your content, and they are most interested in what other sites / people have to say about you, than what you say.

To create this natural look for your incoming links, you need to use a variation of sites and text for your back links. You want to build back links from blog posts, blog comments, social bookmarking sites, social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, web pages, press releases (if any), article directories, specialized directories, forums discussion, etc.

You want a variety of anchor text in those links as well. This is achieved by using the best keyword phrases that relate to your main keyword, or using more than one keyword phrase that is relevant to the content of your blog or web page.

The advantage of using the variety of different keyword phrases in your anchor text is not only that your links appear more natural, which means they will have more weight with the major search engines, but you can achieve top search engine rankings for more than one search phrase and this will increase website traffic with targeted website visitors over time to your website..

You can create an effective link building campaign by simply jump-starting the buzz for your blog or website, and with great content, you’ll end up with much more natural back links, in addition to those you create yourself.

This is not something you’ll want to do for every single page on your website or for every single new blog post. Simply linking to your main page will do wonders for your search engine rankings. The search engine spiders will follow and index other pages on your site, people will still click through to your site and read other posts you have and possibly link back to the pages they like the most.

An effective link building strategy to increase website traffic to your blog from the search engines could include:

» Create internal links from pages related to your blog / site
» Tweet your link on twitter and ask for comments
» Post the link to your blog or website on your Facebook profile or page
» If a blog, create pingbacks to related blog posts
» Comment on posts that are on related blogs using your special link in the URL field
» Publish a video on YouTube related to your niche, including the hyperlink in the description field
» Add the link to your profiles on all your forums that you are active on for discussion
» Include the link in your forum signature on forums related to your niche
» Submit relevant articles to article directories with the link in the signature
» Submit a press release (if appropriate for your piece of content)
» Write guest blog posts on blogs related to your niche, with the link in your signature
» Engage in conversations Cross-blog with other bloggers
» Provide your link with other 5-10 related websites on your list of social bookmarking sites
» If the link is to the main page of your blog or website, add to niche directories and blog / RSS directories
» If you have really good content, these strategies will launch a natural buzz with new unsolicited links from various sources. People will find your content and then stumble, Tweet, bookmark or link to your blog. And that’s exactly what you want.

Of course, this task will take time and hard work – especially at first. But once you identify the best sites to help with your link building, you’ll see that it becomes faster and easier with time. You’ll have a list of blogs in your RSS reader, a list of niche forums that you’re involved with, etc., and you can also assign tasks to others once you get a working strategy in place.

The variation in anchor text and websites you use is extremely important to building effective relationships with others. Never reject an opportunity because of the link Page Rank, no follow attribute, lack of option to include anchor text, etc. You need those links to compensate for your highly optimized back links to your site … to avoid the dreaded “over-optimization” (i.e.: the manipulation of search engines and keyword spam).

Writing a weekly newsletter would be ideal but not necessary. Looking To Increase Website Traffic? – Build Your List

When people voluntarily sign up to receive your newsletter emails, these people are “opting in” to your mailing list. Because they have requested information about you, your website and or product, your messages are not considered junk mail, spam or unsolicited email. These people are more than happy to read your message and visit a website that you may recommend to them. Your contact list can increase website traffic to just about any product or site that you want.

Sending messages and information to people who have given permission for you to contact them is a great way to build the kind of relationships that foster a steady stream of targeted website traffic to your website, and significantly increase website traffic and your online sales!

All online businesses can benefit from having a choice of niche mailing list of some sort! Opt-in email lists generally fall into 4 different types of categories.

     1. New Content Notification – You’ve probably seen sites that offer to notify you whenever they have updated their information, products or content. To tell you the truth, this is probably the least effective type of contact list, simply because most people do not register. Instead, they just bookmark your website thinking they’ll visit it again at a later date – but do not count on it. Of course, there are certain types of sites that can benefit from this type of list. For example, if you have a site that organizes contests, you may offer to notify people whenever you start a new competition.

     2. Free Report – Another type of contact list building is offering a free report or a series of reports. However, be careful with this. By offering a free report, you are limiting the number of times you can mail your list. This is not a good idea to capture the names and email addresses, then bombarded everyone with a steady stream of sales material after they were only expecting one or two reports. This would be considered spam! If you offer a free report, your report should contain “real” information and a reason to visit your site again.

     3. Updates on resources – You may offer to your subscribers an update on various topics or resources that you are covering on your website. For example, if you’re in the real estate business, you can send people a list of current mortgage rates for 10 or 20 financial institutions. You can send this information as often as you like, such as once a week, once a month, or whenever there are significant changes in rates.

     4. Free E-zine or Newsletter – A great way to build an opt-in list is offering a free subscription to an email newsletter or e-zine. The newsletters are a great way to regularly remind your subscribers about your website and products in order to increase website traffic. When writing a newsletter that contains a copy, which is both informative and compelling, you draw subscribers to your site again and again! Having an e-zine or Newsletter is one of the best ways to build credibility and relationships with your readers and customers. If you understand the value of “customer for life”, then you know exactly how powerful your e-zine or newsletter can be and will be your best resource to increase targeted website traffic!

Once you determine the type of contact list you would like to have, you need to get it all automated. Why? Because one of the secrets of running a successful online business is automating much of the work routine as you can!

      * On your website, put a simple opt-in box designed to capture names of people and email addresses. This information will be sent to your email address so you can add to your database. You may also use an auto responder, this I highly recommend you do, to automate your list building and to store your contact information of your subscribers. All Auto Responders will give you a piece of code to put on your website to capture this contact information.

      * When people sign-up, they should immediately be sent a confirmation email using your auto responder. In this email, they should be reminded that they have signed up to your newsletter and have asked to be on your contact list. Let them know how to unsubscribe (this information should also be in every email you send). Reiterate the benefits of them being able to participate in your opt in list. Let them know how often you will be contacting them with new information – will it be once daily, once a month, or only when there is something new to report? You should also confirm that you will not sell or let anyone else use their contact information.

      * A good auto responder software will subscribe and unsubscribe people from your list automatically. It will take the contact information sent to you and add it to a No Contact list or delete it from your database entirely. Doing this manually can quickly become overwhelming – particularly when your subscriber list starts to grow! These are the kinds of tasks you want to be automated – the time it would take you to do all this manually would be better spent on other things like website promotion and increasing website traffic!

Once you have set up your contact list software, and it is all automated, you can concentrate on what you are going to be sending to your subscribers. Your subscribers have opted in to your newsletter for a reason. You made promises, it is now time to follow through on those promises.

      * Your message, your report, or electronic publication / Newsletter should be content rich and very informative.

      * There should be a close relationship with the theme of your website and what your audience is interested in and should contribute in some way to the needs of your subscribers!

      * The information must be timely and relevant.

      * And it should also attract people to your website!

By building an opt-in list, which is building the future of your business. Your messages are a constant reminder to get people back to your site and visit again and again.

When they return, you have yet another chance to establish a relationship with your visitors. You also have another chance to sell your main or backend products!

Now, I’m not going to try to say that building an opt-in list does not require a lot of work, because quite frankly, Yes it does! But it is an important part to building a successful long term online business and it definitely is worth all the work involved! Add an opt-in list box for your site and you’ll be well on your way to building a valuable asset – a customer list that can be used to sell your products to over and over again, year after year and a quick way to increase targeted website traffic!

Go to the websites you find in Google and post your ad to the classified ad sites that have a High PR.

Improving your Search Engine Ranking is one of the best ways to get quality targeted website traffic to your websites.

Showing up in the search results for a highly targeted keyword term on search engines is one of the most critical ways to increase targeted website traffic and expose your product or service to others who might be interested in what you have to offer. Most of the major search engines such as Google and Yahoo, etc, utilize an algorithm to determine where a website ranks in relation to other websites for specific keyword terms. These search engines have set up specific criteria and webmaster guidelines that a website must meet to get to the top 10 search results. The specific criteria are different for each and every engine, but all search engines share several commonalities. It all comes down to the type and amount of content provided on a given website, the level of keyword optimization done on the website, and the popularity of the website (link popularity/PageRank). Tailoring your website so you can improved your search engine rankings is known as search engine optimization, or SEO for short and will definitely increase website traffic.

So how can you improve your search engine optimization SEO and rank higher in the Search Engines? Well lets discuss a few things that you can do immediately.

1) Keyword Research

For this example, we are only going to discuss ranking in Google. This is the biggest and most widely used Search Engine.

Head on over to the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and do some research so you can decide what search phrases you would like to show up for in the search results. This keyword tool will actually show you how many people are actually searching for any specific keyword phase, plus give you a list of terms related to your main keyword. Now before you go start trying to rank for the term “Make Money Online” or something that is highly competitive, there is something else that you need to know when choosing a good keyword to try and rank for.

For your results that you get from the Google Keyword Tool, Pick a keyword that has a Global Monthly Search Volume of 3000 or more, and has a unique competition search result of 30,000 or less. By uniqe unique competition result I mean, go do your regular Google search for the term but put your search term in “Quotes”. This will give you how many different page have that exact search term on their website. If you can find phrases that have the criteria listed above, it will be fairly easy to rank in the top 10 search results on Google.

2) Optimize your site for the main keyword and Related keywords

Don’t just think that plastering your main keyword all over your website is going to get you ranked in Google, doing this is only going to get you banned for keyword spamming. Search engines are a lot smarter today and can pick up on theses little tricks fast. If you want to get ranked for your main keyword, you need to write quality content on your site that is also optimized for the related keyword terms that Google gave you with their keyword tool.

You need to stay focused on the user that will be visiting your website. Give them good quality content to read and don’t too much time trying to please the Search Engine Spiders. Think about what your target market needs and what brought them to your website in the first place, and then put it on your site so that they can find it. The phrase “content is king” still holds true today. If you want to be relevant for specific keywords, than you need good highly competitive content. Write about 300 words or so for each keyword phrase and put it on your site every few days. On average, you should try to target between 3-5 keyword phrases per post that you make on your website. Make it as natural flowing as possible and the Search Engines will reward you with a first-page ranking.

3) Page Titles and Descriptions

Try to make sure that all the pages of your website have custom titles and descriptions related to the content of those pages. If your site is using the same tags for all your WebPages, search engines will have a hard time trying to figure out the subject or relevance of the individual pages.

4) Use Site Maps

Create a site map that shows people where different pages are that you have on your website. About 6% or more people will continue to browse your website just because of your Site Map. If you have keyword rich titles for your pages, these are going to be the links in your site map and people will click the links also, the Search Engines will love it as well.

5) Build Up Your Popularity

So now that you have found the right keyword phrases that you would like to get ranked for in the search engines, you’ve created all of the necessary content for your readers to enjoy, and you’ve also optimized all of your web pages to the best of your abilities. Congratulations – you’re now in the top 80 percent of the websites listed for the keyword phrases you decided to try to target.

Now you need to submit your website to some social bookmarking directories. Simply do a quick Google search for social bookmarking directories and submit your pages to them. In no time they will start linking to you, your pagerank will go up, and you will start seeing first page results in Google.

How I Increase Website Traffic Instantly

When I need to get more traffic going to all my affiliate products that I’m promoting, I always use fast and easy website promotion techniques.

One of the best ways to accomplish this that I have learnt is using Safelists Marketing and Text Ad Exchange Marketing. Using these website promotion techniques will immediately increase website traffic to your websites.

To improve website traffic coming from the Safelists(SL) and Text Ad Exchanges(TAE), you need to know a few things when using them.

1) Track your results so you know what SL or TAE is actually sending you targeted website traffic that’s producing sales for you.

Without proper web traffic analysis and tracking, how are you to know what sites are sending you the best website traffic and producing the most affiliate sales for you?

With this information, you will be able to promote your websites in places that send only targeted website traffic to your affiliate links.

The best way to use the SL’s and TAE’s is using their Solo Ad mailers. In most cases, especially in the TAE’s, this can be all free. When you are a member of these sites, you will receive these Solo Ad’s from other members, in these Solo Ad’s you will find a link that you can click to view the advertisers website for 20 seconds or more to receive an advertising credit on your account. What you do is save these advertising credits up until you have enough to trade your credits for your own Solo Ad.

I purchase/trade credits for these Solo Ads every few days. When I want to instantly receive traffic going to my affiliate links, I get a solo ad. Each solo ad that I get receives a minimum of 700 targeted website visitors, now times that by 10 solo ads that I purchase and or trade my advertising credits for, this works out to 7,000+ targeted website visitors that I will receive every few days or so… Talk about how you can instantly increase website traffic…

2) More is not always better when it comes to Safelists Marketing.

Don’t think that you need to post to hundreds of different Safelists to get more traffic. 80% of the time the Safelists that you are using for your website promotion are all dead, and no one is even clicking through to your website, here is when your web traffic analysis and tracking comes in real handy.

Imagine posting to 50 different Safelists every single day, but only 10 of those Safelists still have active members that are buying your affiliate products that you are promoting?

To post to that many different Safelists would take almost all day to complete, but posting to only 10 Safelists , you can accomplish this in a matter of a couple hours or so. With good web traffic analysis and tracking, you would know what Safelists to stop promoting to, and the ones you need to maybe promote to more often. You could have spent those wasted hours posting to the 40 safelists that are dead, instead finding 2 new Safelists to add to your website promotion.

I always knew that when I first started internet marketing, I would have to find some good traffic tactics that would work for me to increase website traffic to my affiliate links, and at first, this was no easy task. I never knew how important it would actually be to have targeted website visitors in order to make money promoting affiliate products. I thought that every easy and free way that I could find to increase traffic to my website would work, boy was I wrong!

My advice about that? Don’t make the same mistake that I did, learn website promotion that works!

When you first start your website promotion, don’t think that all free website traffic is created equal. There is such a thing as bad and good ways for driving traffic to your website.

You need to get real time web traffic analysis for all your websites that you are promoting. You need to know where your traffic is coming from, what search engine keywords people are using to find your website, what websites are actually producing sales from the traffic they are sending…

I know, you may be thinking “How can I get all this information?”

Well, what I have learned is to always track my results. Clickbank for instants allows you to enter tracking codes into your affiliate links so when you make a sale, you will see this tracking code and you’ll know exactly where this person came from accordingly. To make this work, all you need to do is create a unique tracking code for each web site traffic builder that you use.

You should be using Link Cloaking, Splash Pages and or Landing Pages in all your website promotion.

The reason for this is simple. Using these you can add Google Analytics to your web pages and receive full, real time traffic reports. The traffic stats that Google Analytics gives you are in-depth and full of useful information that you can use to increase targeted website traffic. With your Google Analytics traffic stats, you can fine tune your website promotion to get more traffic from the websites that send targeted visitors, and stop promoting to the websites that send garbage traffic, this alone will help you to sell more affiliate products and make more money.
